Thurstan College, Colombo 07, proudly celebrates the exceptional academic achievements of our students at the recently released G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination 2025.
With an overall 99.34% of our student cohort qualifying for their Advanced Level education (303 out of 305 candidates), the college continues to foster an environment of high academic standards. Notably, 83 students achieved the maximum distinction of 9 As, followed by 48 students with 8 As, 33 with 7 As, and 21 with 6 As.
This success is a testament to the visionary leadership of the Principal, and the collective efforts of our dedicated teaching faculty, the administration, school committees (SDS, OBU, JOBU), and the parents who consistently back our students’ endeavors. Congratulations to the entire batch on this stellar milestone.

Building on this success, the online application process for enrollment into the G.C.E. Advanced Level classes for the 2026/2028 academic cycle is now open for both internal and external applicants.
Application Closing Dates:
* Internal Candidates: Wednesday, 24th June 2026
* External Candidates: Tuesday, 30th June 2026
Interviews will be convened for applicants who successfully submit within the deadline and satisfy the foundational eligibility criteria, fully compliant with Ministry of Education circulars.
