First Aid Unit – History

History of First Aid Unit

The First Aid Unit has been serving the College for nearly 15 years. From year 2000 Mr. W.A Janakantha Edmand took over as the teacher in charge of the First Aid Unit of Thurstan College. There were 23 members in the year 2000, 38 in 2001, 45 in 2002 and now it has come up to 67 members. Students have been selected for the year 2003 to undergo extensive First Aid Treatment Methods. A complete First Aid Unit was donated by the Old Boys Union through the meditation of distinguished Old Boy Mr. Wimal Frenando. Today all the activities are carried out in this new unit.

In addition to this we have been successful in obtaining medicines and new equipment from the Ministry of Health
