The Official web site of Thurstan College was launched at the College Auditorium on 12th January 2004. As the Chief Guest for this occasion Distinguished Old Boy, Advisor to Ministry of Economic Reforms, Science and Technology Prof. Rohan Samarajeeva graced the occasion. The Official Web Site was developed by three students, Tharaka Lakmal, Chaminda Danuka and Sajith Eshan, guided by, the coordinator Mr. I.W. Kapila Pradeep, and with the help of the Junior Old Boys Union . The Junior Old Boys Union has funded this project and will maintain the site for 10 years. Reporters from Press & Electronic media was present to report this event .
